Backless Flutter Sleeve Top and Wedding Skirt | Sketch

A full floor length wedding skirt. A bridal top with a high front neckline, backless with short sleeves. A delicate prairie look with a ball gown style sweeping hemline.

A fit for many body styles. Modest neckline for a full bust. Short fluttery cap sleeves add a soft touch to the shoulders. A sexy open back with sleeves fluttering down the back like a cape and wrapping the waist. A skirt sitting at the natural waist. A gathered full silhouette ball gown skirt adds fullness to a narrow figure and complements a curvy one. The two tiered skirt adds length to height (which you can also get by wearing just above the ankle mid calf or tea length).

This design has been inspired by a combination of a couple vintage designs. A backless dress seen in some old Hollywood photos for the top. The skirt was inspired by a vintage magazine article for new bridal designs in the 1940s.

I like the idea of this set in silk wool or cotton silk. Both of the fabrics are lightweight and have an awesome fullness and bounce to them.

The underskirt that creates this ball gown look is made of silk organza. Soft to the touch with an elegant flow. Two skirts amounting to 16 yards of silk organza creating a romantic ball gown silhouette.
